Accept – Rock Hard Festival 2010

The show of Accept was probably the most anticipated moment on the entire festival. A couple of years ago Accept played the headlining spot of the festival together with Udo Dirkschneider at their reunion show. Now they were back with their new Singer Mark Tornillo. Within minutes into their set all doubts about the new line up were out of the peoples mind and the Band just kicked ass. After a couple of Songs it was pretty clear that Accept were back and all doubters proven wrong. In fact the show was so good, that it was a mistery to me why the Band didn’t headline the third evening of the Festival.
Shooting Notes
Not only the Show the guys put on was incredibly, but shooting them was too. Except for a pit, which was just a bit crowded, I didn’t had that much fun shooting for quite a while. Not only did the Band pose like crazy, but the light was just perfect. Do to the fact that the sun was down low it was shining at an angle almost exactly at the height of the stage bathing everything in a golden light. This also made it possible to shoot at 1/800 of a second, an aperture of f4.5 and an ISO rating of 400 resulting in unbelievable sharp images. The only thing you had to pay a bit of attention to was keeping the shadows the micstands cast out of the faces of the musicians.
