The Mainact playing the last day of the Rock Hard Festival 2010 was Rage, but they weren’t playing a normal Set. The Band recruited parts of the Classic Orchestra Dortmund and performed parts of their ‚Lingua Mortis‘ and ‚XIII‘ Albums. Except for the really long time it took to get everything set up, the Show was really enjoyable and a great ending for the Festival.

Shooting Notes
In comparison to the other Bands playing this late during the day, Rage and the Orchestra had actually pretty good light. What you had to watch out for was keeping enough light in the faces of the bandmembers, because as soon as they looked down their faces where in shadow. Another thing to look out for was shooting when the guys where standing in the lights, because as soon as they stepped out of it, it became pretty dark. In the middle of the stage I was able to shoot at f4.0 with a shutter speed of 1/800, at the sides I had to open up to f2.8 with 1/250 to 1/400 of a second. The ISO was kept at 800 all the time.
