Benzin were the first Band for me shooting at Bochum Total 2011 and they definitely made for a great opener. With their high energy rock Sound and stage show it was quite a lot of fun and with the sun coming out between the clouds, people were really enjoying themselves.

Shooting Notes
As nice as it is to have sun at a festival day, it is quite a pain in the butt shooting when it is shining right on the stage. This 3-stop light difference between the guys standing in the back of the stage in the the shadow and them coming forward to the edge of the stage right in the sun, made it quite a lot of work. So I was constantly changing my shutter speed between 1/160 and 1/1000 of a second, trying to compensate for the different amounts of light.
