Necrophagist – Summer Breeze Open Air 2010

This wasn’t a good evening for Necrophagist. The Band was doing good, but the sound was just miserable. The highly technical Death Metal Necrophagist is playing needs a really clear and defined sound, but nothing of that was given. It was muddy and the guitars were separately mixed to the left and right of the stage, which made it even harder to hear them. Even though the Band tried their best to put on a good performance, they couldn’t make up for the bad sound.
Shooting Notes
The light wasn’t so good either when Necrophagist were on stage. I was shooting at ISO 1000 at f2.8 with a 1/125 of a second, using flash to counter the bands movement. I was using the EF 27-70 for most of the show just getting the EF 70-200 out for a few close-ups.
